The G.U.B. Ingenieur AG was founded in 1991 as a new engineering company in Zwickau, located in the Free State of Saxony. Within the next few years a number of subsidiaries were established, which merged in 2007, into the G.U.B. Ingenieur AG. This company is mainly active in the fields of geotechnical, environmental and construction engineering, including various supplementary services. 

The operating engineers, scientists and technicians within the G.U.B. Ingenieur AG have many years of professional experience in the fields of geotechnics, geology, hydrology and hydrogeology, environmental engineering, geophysics and engineering seismology, construction engineering, transport planning, landscape design/landscape architecture, hydraulic engineering, surveying and geoinformatics.

Our company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and announced as measuring body according to §§ 26, 28 Federal Pollution Control Law.
Since 2005 the soil physical laboratory in Zwickau is recognised by the Saxon State Ministry for Economics and Labor as test laboratory for RAP Stra 04.

Close contacts with the University of Technology Freiberg, the University of Technology Dresden and the Bauhaus University Weimar allow our employees an active access to theoretical and experimental work in the specific fields of soil and rock mechanics, environmental and civil engineering.

The G.U.B. Ingenieur AG has with over 170 engineers, scientists and technicians a large number of qualified staff with extensive national and international experience. Our employees are constantly updating their expertise through participation at national as well as international seminars, symposia and conferences.

Furthermore, G.U.B. has accredited specialists on loose and bedrock slopes as well as on opencast mining drainage. A great variety of technical engineering staff has many years of professional experience both in lignite and uranium mining as well as in underground cavern constructions. The G.U.B. Ingenieur AG developed a complex service management for the rehabilitation, exploration, development and the economic use of different types of sites, project areas and deposits, throughout its eighteen-years of company history.
